>> I have 5 female Sprague-Dawley rats (the mom and 4 babies), which were originally intended for research but not needed. The pregnant mom was shipped from the supplier and then gave birth on May 6. I would imagine that the mom is approximately 4 months old. They've had no interaction with other rodents except my pet chinchillas, so they are free of the mycoplasma and other diseases that typically are hosted in domesticated rats. I've been handling them regularly since the babies were 3 weeks old, and they are very gentle. Even when my fingers are covered with banana goo they are very delicate and careful to only bite into the fruit. They have perfect white fuzzy fur and sparkly eyes. They're very active and love playing in their wheel (sometimes all five at once!).
If you can pass on this information to your caring rat friends or have any suggestions for re-homing them I will greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much for your help! -S- <<
Again, if you are interested in these Sprague-Dawley rats, please email S at: ratbabies@yahoo.com
